Russell serves as Academic Dean at FMBC. He first joined the team as a Lecturer in 2018, after completing a PhD at the University of Edinburgh. He has a special interest in the post-Reformation period, but is passionate about learning from all of church history — from Pentecost to the present day. Russell teaches courses in church history and theology at the college.

Marilyn received her PhD in Old Testament from the University of Edinburgh in 2014. She has lectured at Warsaw and St Andrews as well as tutoring online for Ridley College, Melbourne. She has a particular interest in biblical languages, translation and exegesis. Marilyn teaches biblical studies at the College.

Angus joined the staff at FMBC in September 2023. After spells in youth work and school teaching, Angus spent six years with UCCF’s ministry to theology students. He also served part-time as pastor for an Edinburgh Chinese church. From 2015–23, Angus was East Regional Team Leader for SU Scotland. Throughout, Angus has taught theology and ministry seminars, courses, and workshops, in church and parachurch contexts, and preached regularly. His primary interest is in sharing the gospel persuasively in a post-Christian secular society.

Originally from Northern Ireland, Elise has worked in a variety of different roles throughout the years. From working for several different Christian charities, to admin and accounts, to barista. Elise studied theology at Edinburgh Theological Seminary and graduated in 2022. She joined the FMBC staff as College Administrator in July 2024.

Originally from Co. Antrim NI, Jill studied at the Faith Mission Bible College from 2005–07. Together with Stewart she then spent 11 years in Canada, before moving back to Edinburgh in 2019 to join the staff at FMBC.

Robert is pastor of Duncan Street Baptist Church in Edinburgh. He is a graduate of the Irish Baptist College and Queen’s University in Belfast. He pastored churches in Ireland and Canada for almost 20 years, before spending 9 years as the College’s Principal. He teaches New Testament at the college.
Paul graduated from the Universities of Leicester and London. From 1988–2004, he served with London City Mission, where he was a church-based evangelist, led mission teams to reach those in the New Age Movement, and was a chaplain to the West End Theatres. From 2004–14, Paul worked as a missionary with Edinburgh City Mission. Since 2014, he has been the director of Christian Heritage Edinburgh and Soul of Scotland Tours. Paul teaches Evangelism at the college.
Anna just received her PhD in New Testament Language, Literature, and Theology from the University of Edinburgh. She has a particular interest in the Gospels, especially the Gospel of John. She is also passionate about biblical languages, exegesis, early Christianity, and the first century. She teaches New Testament at the College.
After studying for an undergraduate Theology degree at the University of Edinburgh, Simmy completed an MTh by Research at the University of Edinburgh focusing on the New Testament and Christian Origins. He has a passion for Biblical Studies and seeing the church grow in biblical understanding. He teaches New Testament at the college.
After receiving an undergraduate degree in French and German from the University of Edinburgh, Màiri went on to study for an MTh in Missiology at Edinburgh Theological Seminary. She currently leads Edinburgh City Mission’s Nations ministry and is a PhD candidate in Systematic Theology at the University of Edinburgh. Màiri teaches Christian Mission at the College.
Sandy is a former Principal of the College. He has pastored three different congregations in the last forty years. His academic background embraces Cliff College, and Glasgow and Edinburgh Universities. He also worked for the Scottish Prison Service as National Chaplain for all Scottish Prisons. He continues to be actively engaged in preaching at local, national and international levels. He lectures part time at the College.
